So actually I haven’t watch The Profiler. Or Medium. But have seen Numbers (horrible) and Criminal Minds (not as good as I would have liked). And CSI (don’t really like). And some movies that have had the profilers in them, like Silence of the Lambs or Kiss the Girls and for some reason Knight Moves stands out in my memory with no particular details.

What intrigues me in all these shows and movies is the thought that some FBI behavioral analyst somewhere could figure out what I’m gonna do without even knowing me. That seems like a challenge. For them. And for me.

Last night’s Criminal Minds started to draw out the differences between psychotics and organized killers. The character was a cannbial, taking blood and organs to consume later on. I turn and tell Catherine – “See, now that I know that, I would take the blood and organs to seem like a cannibal but then throw them away on the way home. And when the bust me at my house, there’d be no freezer full of blood and stuff and they would think maybe it’s not me.”

These are conversations that make her a little nervous.

But I really like the idea that someone (well, let’s be honest – some team. Some super intelligent badass, team. Of beautiful people. In pristine offices. Who have all sorts of databases available to them. And speak about things as if each has written a separate textbook on the subject.) out there could figure out what I was going to do. And why I was doing it. Seems like it can’t be done. But maybe it can?

Only one way to find out…
