[Setting: Last night, chatting with Catherine about the day’s events; someone’s having a baby (laughter, suckas!), my dad called in the morning, we’re babysitting the next day, the apprentice finale is gonna be on…just random topics and our playful teasing while we’re playing around with Sal…]
Catherine: Man, your father’s annoying me.
Cris: [laughing – situations racing through his head…] Yeah – gonna be some fun holidays! So what did my dad do to annoy you?
Catherine: He doesn’t annoy me.
Cris: You just said he did.
Catherine: No I didn’t.
Cris: You just said – Man, your father’s annoying me.
Catherine: I was talking to Sal.
Cris: …
your response w/ the “…” is so comic strip. i thought cathy talked like woodstock? ” ””’ ” ” ” ”’ ‘
yeah – i was going for the comic book effect.
i would have really liked the ability to draw a dark squiggly above my head – like a thought bubble that’s all cumpled up and mashed together. i think that’s how my feelings at the moment are illustrated in comic books.
haha, those “…” were pretty funny. definitely something out of a comic strip or something.
it must be a weird adjustment; going from being annoyed by dad to *being* the annoying dad…
the dad part is new – the annoying part – not so new.
that’s awesome!
