The other day, we got into a bit of the lotto discussion. I said I would rather not win anything than win 2nd place. Because 2nd place tends not to be a life changer. And to know I was just 1 digit away from a life changer would be frustrating and haunt me to no end.
Here’s the breakdown from the last draw –
1st place – 90 million
2nd place – 20k (there were 9 winners…so I guess with 1 winner it could have been 180k)
3rd place – 1,521.00
Now, this is not the same as – would you rather have 20k or 0. Cause I’d take the 20k. But if I was to have 90 million or 20k. I’d rather have 0 and not even have played.
I’m haunted easily.
