ian’s got a link to some flash app – badgers, badgers, badgers. (i’d link to him but the url seems a bit hashed up right now.)
i watched for a while. wondered if it needed sound. but it’s 6am and
catherine’s still asleep and i don’t need to wake her up for?some
flash app that’s probably just shouting – badgers, badgers, badgers.
but the more i’m doing flash, the more i’m accepting it. the
actionscript 2.0 stuff is frustrating sometimes – for instance, if you
do a for loop on an array’s length and the array’s null, you get tossed
into an infinite loop…NaN i guess doesn’t compare nicely for
conditions – which makes sense, but is sometimes frustrating. maybe
always frustrating. i guess i’m up at 6am working on flash, so it is
closer to always frustrating.
but it is a lot easier to install than java apps. kind of makes me want
to write the craps simulations in flash instead of java. though not
sure. will ponder it. i like this set
of open source flash apps – makes me want to make a set too. pull in
genetic algorithms. port my thesis into flash. allowthe project to
continue to evolve – from scheme to c++ to java to flash! what a crazy
trip that’d be. all for more exposure. always looking for a better
sandbox to play in…
but i think catherine wants help on the nursery first…
BADGERS BADGERS BADGERS BADGERS MUSHROOM SNAKE! That’s what you’d hear. I’m not sure your thesis could compete with that, really, so you might want to keep it in Java. Up to you.
Help Catherine with the nursery. I’m thinking of a large mural of Chuckie and the Fun House pinball machine. A fear of clowns is healthy for a child.
