In San Fran. Co-workers speak highly of it. We went.
Seems like they thinking wrapping things in bacon is the way to go. It’s practically an axiom.
Bacon wrapped scallops – great.
Tomato soup – okay. Needs bacon.
Couldn’t talk anyone into the crab salad sliders, which were the sliders of the day.
I had a steak salad appetizer. Waitress warned me, that since I was having the bacon wrapped meatloaf that the steak salad wasn’t much salad. I looked up at her. She saw in my eyes that that was exactly the plan.
Steak salad – fantastic. One of the best salad’s I’ve had. No sweetbreads in sight!
Bacon wrapped meatloaf…eh. I didn’t like the meatloaf too much for some reason. And I’m typically into meatloaf. Sal ate the green beans which was good. Well, it was good he was eating the green beans and the green beans themselves were good. He avoided the meatloaf. He’s more of a tomato soup kind of guy.
Was saving myself for the Guinness milkshake. Had a strange bitter taste to it. 2nd half was smoother and better. Not sure what was going on the first half. But the cinnamon donuts were pretty good. And small enough where me eating 5 wasn’t a big deal.
Will I go back? Not sure. Didn’t mind it, and if we’re nearby, sure. But I don’t know if I’ll go out of my way to get back there again.
