My mother’s in town. Sal went to sleep at 8:30. So we snuck out to meet Shawn and Kari and we went to see Live Free and Die Hard at 9:25.
Fun blowing stuff up movie. Only a couple of issues at the end, which, though they were story questions, make sense if you think – boy, we need to blow more things up. I enjoyed it. More than Transformers or the Fantastic 4 movie probably. I really like Norm MacDonald’s Fantasic 4 naming skit. Don’t even know if I’ve seen the first Fantastic 4 movie. And Transformers – I still don’t know why they come from another world and are in the shape of our standard vehicles…though, from the cartoons, I seem to remember them branching out into dinosaurs and such once they were done with all the construction machines that were a Voltron knock off. Anyway – fun Die Hard movie, especially given that it was PG-13.
Leaving, we were commenting on how we had a nice time, but weren’t sure when we’d be invited out to another movie. Oh well. At least we got this one in.
Getting into the car, there is a couple coming towards us, the lady being really loud and not particularly funny either.
Cristobal: She’s kinda loud.
Catherine: His hairline is long gone.
Cristobal: Maybe it’s hanging out with her butt.
Catherine: I didn’t see her butt.
Cristobal: There wasn’t one to see.
Catherine: Whoo-hoo – we got them!
Driving home, I noticed a car following us. I took a turn early on a side street in our neighborhood – Catherine asking me what I was doing. I told her I was losing our tail. However, they turned behind us too. My joke was becoming real. Till they did a u-turn in at a fork in the road. Which was strange.
Made me think, they knew we knew that they were tailing us. Now I wanted to follow them and find out what’s going on. So I through a u-turn and go back around the corner. The car is double parked. Someone is getting out.
Someone with no butt. The couple was following us!
Or she lives a couple of streets away from us. He drove off, roof off his Audi TT, wind blowing gently over his scalp…
We’ve kind of forgotten what kinds of things we can do when Sal’s not with us.
I thought the movie was great. and i was sitting far enough away from cris that I couldn’t hear him talk through the entire thing 🙂 a 3 seat buffer is perfect! the benefits of going to the movies with friends without the side effects. sure, you’ll be invited again. maybe we’ll never be invited for making fun of your talking….
