So, thinking about how to get exercise and get Sal out of Catherine’s hair for a little while this summer. So I looked for bike seats. I remember my dad had a little yellow seat on the back of his 10 speeder. Seemed like fun at the time. Though I also remember him taking a spill with Marco in the back. Probably not that much fun. And someone must have been kicked in the head a few times while he was getting on/off the bike. The seat seemed a little dangerous. Especially now that we’re more civilized.
Bike trailers seemed like the new safe thing. Though the view seemed just as bad – backside still. And without a fender, there might be random things tossed up by the back wheel into the trailer. The plusses are that lots of trailers come with conversion kits – to convert it into a stroller or a jogger. Catherine’s mentioned she wanted a jogger. So maybe we could both use this thing.
Until I found the sidecar. I like pretty much everything about it. Including their well done website. They get a better view. You can talk to each other. Easier to look at and check on him. No gravel tossed at you from the rear tire. Plus, sidecars are just plain cool.
But no conversion to the jogging stroller. Catherine shed a single tear. Then got off the hook for having to jog.
This is of course, just going to be used until we get our adult big wheels and can cruise together.
