Mom gets to pick him up from Montessori in the afternoon. She feels Mrs. Liu isn’t a big fan of hers.  Why?

A couple weeks ago, Mrs. Liu told her “Sal’s been into racks lately.”  Catherine looked puzzled.  Mrs. Liu circled her hand in front of her chest.

Apparently, the little dude had been putting bowls on people’s chest and shouting “Boobies” in class.

Today, Mrs. Liu said that Mrs. Asche might want to talk to Catherine about Sal today.  Going in, Mrs. Asche motioned that it wasn’t a conversation to be had in front of Sal.  Mom was nervous.

They’ve been learning about the body parts lately.  Bones.  Sal’s been bragging about how he has more bones than us right now.  It’s been fun.

Mrs. Asche asked the class if anyone knew where the coccyx was.   The class was silent.  She might have asked again.

Then Sal pointed at his groin.  With both hands – with thumbs up and index finger angled down.

Saying “Right here, baby.”

Okay – I might have added a little flourish to the actual motions.  But you get the gist.

I’m just happy he’s willing to guess.  Like that “bright vs gifted” page said – the bright kids know the answers, the gifted kids know how to guess.
