Big falcon' kite! So, this kite looks like fun and we had some wind over the weekend and…as Sal told my sister this morning “there are parts of the ship that are still at the park because we couldn’t find them.”

Turns out that the kite isn’t so flight worthy, despite what the movies had me believe.   It took a lot of effort to get it into the air, then while there, wasn’t really comfortable in the air.  And with only one string, there’s really no control over direction or anything.  Several short flights were separated by several hard landings.

So now, it’s a huge model, hanging from his ceiling and keeping the bad guys away, despite the fact that more than half the time, he refers to the ship as the “death star”.

And it’s close enough to the vent so that when the heater/ac goes on, the falcon will “fly” a little.  He’s happy with that and it’s a lot less likely to lose parts that way.
