The other day, Sal was playing with his Fantasy Football bobbleheads. They were saying “hi” to each other, chasing each other, tackling each other, then next thing you know, they’re telling each other that they love each other and kissing. Sure, they kept their face masks on, but still, they were kissing.
Then a few days later, Sal was playing with his Evel Knievel motorcycle dude. I had bought another one on eBay for myself, from 1973, since the 2006 version was so disappointing. So I have an Evel and Sal has one. We drive around, chase each other, talk about crazy stunts that we’re going to do. Then I leave Sal with both dolls and next thing you know, they’re kissing again.
So – I think I need to get him some girl dolls. Katia here, from the Bratz line, seems like she could hang out with either Evel or the football players. Others have told me that something along the lines of Strawberry Shortcake would be better. Still others told me no dolls, more sporting equipment…
What do we think?
And my vote is…neither. Get him a Barbie doll! Why not start the stereotype now while he is young and impressionable. Make sure you get Ken too while you are at it. I heard he was discontinued so you will have to do a little ebay action to get him but he is worth it. While you’re at it pop in a Disney movie like Cinderella and teach him all about damsels in distress.
Or maybe you should just stick to a new tool set.
